Do you ever wonder about the elegance of specific colours? What colour determines the elegance of stylization? Is grey elegant?
When we look at some stylizations, we can immediately determine whether they are elegant or not. One of the keys to elegance is, of course, the colour, and among those considered elegant, we also find grey.
From a psychological point of view, colour is the first stimulus flowing from the outfit that affects our surroundings. As it turns out, it is only later that we pay attention to the pattern or cut of the dress. What message does the grey colour send? How to wear it?
Grey is one of the colours of elegance, but it should be used in moderation. We will keep this while composing the whole stylization. Grey is neutral. Ideally, therefore, it will work in business look and situations when we do not want to focus the attention of the interviewees on our outfit. It is not without a reason that business psychologists advise grey clothing to negotiators and mediators.
Elegant grey works great as a skirt, jacket or jacket colour - especially as a base for other stylizations within the current business look. Let's avoid monotony, however, not to become the proverbial grey mouse. Gray must necessarily be combined with black, white or navy blue, and in less formal and bolder stylizations - also with red or pastel.
Grey is also the colour of outerwear - coats, jackets, jackets. This colour is not only elegant but also practical. As a neutral colour, it fits perfectly with any other colour, which creates almost endless possibilities of stylization variations. An interesting solution may also be to combine different shades of grey, and there are a lot of them (light grey with anthracite looks extremely elegant).
As always, remember about the additions. Elegant jewellery and high heels create a completely different style of stylization than wooden beads or a large amber pendant. When choosing accessories - especially shoes and handbags - it is worth remembering the basic rules of combining colours. Grey shoes for the dominant grey? Yes, but only to the office or business meeting. If you connect a grey skirt or pants with a grenade or even red, put on accessories in this colour. Perfectly suited to such compositions is given by bottle green or various shades of burgundy.
